Adental Denture Services adentaloffice.com
With over 20 years of experience, we provide a wide variety of denture services. Everything from Full and Partial Dentures, Implants, and Immediate Dentures to Repairs and Relines. If you are missing teeth you have options.
Full Dentures
Full dentures are a great option when you have no natural teeth of your own in one or both arches.
Full upper dentures typically have an acrylic base that covers the roof of your mouth to give stability and suction. Full lower dentures are typically a “U” shape that sits on the lower bone ridge. They each have their bases reach out under your lips and cheeks for stability and bracing.
You have the advantage of improving your smile with whiter, straighter teeth or maintain a very natural relaxed smile with the character of your original teeth (little imperfections and all!). You can help decide on the look of your denture, we welcome your suggestions.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures replace one or more of your missing teeth. You still have some of your natural teeth remaining.
We can fill the missing teeth with a variety of denture base connector materials to hold all of the missing teeth together as a group. To help secure the partial denture in place we can add some clasp components to the base and carefully hold on to the real teeth.
Partial dentures can be made in many types of materials to suit the circumstances. We can use very strong, thin premium metal components, acrylic bases, strong nylon materials, and even
flexible bases.
Clasps to secure the partial can be made to be very strong from metal or blend into the remaining teeth using clear or pink materials.
Denture Repairs
Broken dentures can be painful. You may not even be able to smile,
talk, or eat properly. Call us as soon as you notice your dentures are
broken or not fitting properly.
If possible try not to use glue at home to fix the denture. It can be
too thick to let the parts go back as closely as possible to the old
position and make it difficult for us to correct it later for you with
stronger materials.
Depending on the extent of damage, a follow-up appointment
may be necessary for extreme cases.
Reline or Rebase
A denture reline places a new layer of material on the gum side of your denture to make it re-fit your gums to their current shape. A hard
acrylic reline using acrylic like your hard pink denture base. A soft
silicone reline is helpful for chronically sensitive gums giving a “cushion” effect and can make the denture more comfortable. A chair-side reline is made directly in the mouth as you sit. All materials have different uses, accuracy, and longevity so it’s best to discuss your needs with the Denturist so he can choose the most appropriate material for you.
A denture rebase is designed to replace the bulk of your pink denture base and keep the original teeth as is. If the denture teeth are still in good condition but the pink base has multiple cracks, repairs, or a large change in fit, a rebase may be used. This restores the fit and overall strength of the denture base again.
Implant Dentures
Imagine implants as artificial metal roots of teeth that your denture holds on to so it stays in place on your gums.
Our Adental team can provide implant options that can be placed in the same office where your dentures are made for optimum flow of treatment.
Traditional dentures sit on your gums and can’t pinch you to hold on. It’s common for even well-made dentures to have some movement and shifting. This shifting lowers your ability to bite and chew with the same force as real teeth.
Having implants allows the denture teeth to “snap on” to the implant posts with small button snaps and then stay in place. You can chew and speak with more efficiency, be more comfortable, and be self-confident knowing your denture is anchored in place. Implant dentures can be removable or be fixed in place. There are too many designs and types to describe here so feel free to see us at A dental Office for a consultation for more information.
Immediate Dentures
We can make dentures for you before you have your teeth extracted by the dentist.
The term immediate denture means it will be placed “immediately” on the gums at the time the teeth are taken out. The denture acts as a band-aid and the initial pressure can help form a more even bone ridge. Denture pressure also helps control any swelling and bleeding that might occur, and you can leave the office with a smile and circulate in public right away!
